Location:
Huntsville, AL for first 6+ months

Description:
Innovative is recruiting to hire a senior engineer to support projects involving system and application development with Mercury Computer Systems products.

The ideal candidate will have a depth of experience developing applications on Mercury platforms and will be expert with Mercury's software products and technologies including MCOE (6.x), SAL, TATL, and ICS. The person will have knowledge and understanding of RapidIO and its utilization. Experience with Race++ is also desired. The ideal candidate will also have an active or recently lapsed Secret clearance. This is a strong plus for the position.

The first assignment for the successful candidate will be in Huntsville, AL on a project that will last a minimum of 6 months. The successful candidate may be local to Huntsville, or may be willing to work this project as a travel assignment. Travel expenses would be reimbursed, of course.

The initial assignment is typical of the work this engineer will be asked to perform over many projects: the engineer will review a client's application code and system configuration and consult with the client on ways to further optimize the application and system to improve performance (e.g. apply or change SAL routines, understand the data flow on the RapidIO Architecture and use ICS to improve it's performance, etc. etc.), and be part of the team to implement the new optimizations. In addition to optimizing the application as it is today, the successful candidate will work with the client to add more software to their baseline. This additional application software support will involve integration of more processing boards (4-16) to scale the system to it's fullest.

After this initial project, the candidate will be able to either focus his/her career on engineering development, or will be able to take on Systems Engineering responsibilities, providing deep technical support for Innovative's business development efforts in the C4ISR sector.

Qualifications:
In summary, the ideal candidate will have:
  • Substantial experience developing SW on Mercury Computer Systems' platforms
  • Experience with SAL, TATL, and ICS
  • Experience with MCOE
  • Experience with VxWorks, and Linux
  • Experience with C4ISR systems such as SIGINT, ELINT, Radar, communications, Battle Command Software, NetCentric Warfare, etc.
  • Other engineering experience involving signal processing is a strong plus.
  • Active or recently lapsed Secret clearance is a very strong plus
  • US Citizenship is a MUST. Non-citizens will not be considered and should not apply.
  • Strong preference given to US military veterans
